On the occasion of National Volunteer Week 2025, Dufferin Care Centre held its annual volunteer appreciation event on April 29th to express its sincerest gratitude to the volunteers who have served the community for a long time and silently contributed. As an important partner of the Tri city Chinese Community Society (TCCS), we have been awarded the Certificate of Appreciation to recognize TCCS’s positive contributions to community welfare.

The theme of this year’s Volunteer Week is “Volunteers Make Waves”, aimed at praising the profound impact of volunteer service. TCCS’s volunteer team has always been a warm force in community service. They regularly visit Dufferin Care Centre to bring greetings, care, and joy to the elderly, conveying warmth through their actions.

It is worth mentioning that in TCCS’s volunteer team, there are both experienced adult volunteers and energetic youth volunteers. Among them, the proportion of teenagers is relatively high, and they actively engage in volunteer service in their spare time, demonstrating admirable sense of responsibility and empathy. Their efforts and enthusiasm have injected a youthful atmosphere into the nursing home, and also reflected the connection of love between generations.

The achievement of this honor is the best recognition of the hard work and dedication of all TCCS volunteers, regardless of age. It is your selfless dedication and sincere companionship that have converged into warm waves driving community progress.

Let us continue to move forward hand in hand, uphold the spirit of love and service, and strive to build a more harmonious and loving community!
